Terms of Use
Effective October 15, 2026 · Version 2026-10-15
These Terms are an agreement between you and Whitmore Financial LLC d/b/a Ascent Technologies ("we", "us") for the DashTV app (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
Safety first. Never watch, browse or interact with video on a screen the driver can see while the vehicle is moving. DashTV locks video on the CarPlay display unless it detects that the vehicle is stopped, but no detection is perfect. The driver is always responsible for safe driving and for obeying traffic and distracted-driving laws. Don't rely on the App to decide when it's safe or legal to watch.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the App.
2. The App and the App Store
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms. These Terms supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). If they conflict, the Apple EULA governs to the extent of the conflict. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
3. Your content and third-party services
DashTV is a browser, screen-mirroring tool and media player. We don't provide, host, sell or license any videos, channels, streams or other content. You choose what to open, import, mirror or play, including websites, playlist links, streams and files. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to access and display that content, and for following the terms of the websites and services you use. You agree not to use the App to:
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights, or access content you aren't authorized to view;
- get around digital rights management, paywalls, geographic restrictions or other access controls;
- break the law, including traffic and distracted-driving laws;
- reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the App, except where the law allows it.
Third-party websites and services are not ours. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices.
4. DashTV Pro, subscriptions and payments
- DashTV Pro is available as a weekly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the prices shown in the App before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
- An introductory price, if offered, applies to the first period only, and only if your Apple Account is eligible. After it ends, the regular price applies until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If we change a subscription price, Apple will notify you, and where the law or Apple requires it, you'll be asked to agree before the new price applies.
- Free features, including any time limits, may change. Features you've paid for stay available for the period you paid for, or for the life of the App for lifetime purchases.
5. Trademarks
DashTV is our trademark. Apple, CarPlay and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other product and service names shown in the App, such as website names and icons, belong to their owners. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or any of those owners.
6. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the App, including vehicle-motion detection, will be uninterrupted, accurate or error-free, or that it will work with every vehicle, website or stream.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the App, including any use while operating a vehicle. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or content you access or display through the App.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with a new effective date, and tell you in the App if the changes are material. If you keep using the App after that, you accept the update. You can stop using the App at any time. We may suspend access if you violate these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer protection law requires otherwise. Courts in Kent County, Delaware have jurisdiction, subject to the same exception.
